1-Secretary General
Arterial Network requires a suitably skilled and experienced person for the strategic position of Secretary General due to the incumbent’s five-year term ending on 30 April 2012. The Secretary General is responsible for driving the strategic vision of the Network, implementing the decisions of the Steering Committee and managing the Network on a day-to-day basis. The successful applicant will have excellent organisational expertise, outstanding leadership qualities, above average knowledge of international cultural policies, good international networks, sound knowledge of Arterial Network and the ability to speak and write in both English and French as well as the freedom to travel extensively on the African continent, would be advantages. S/he will be based at the Secretariat in Cape Town, South Africa under the mentorship of the current Secretary General who will remain involved in developing the organisational, leadership and financial sustainability of the Network.

2- Manager: Sustainability
The rapid growth of Arterial Network necessitates the appointment of a full-time person to co-ordinate and implement traditional and new, innovative fundraising strategies to ensure the financial sustainability of the Network including its continental and regional secretariats, national chapters and their programme of activities. The successful applicant would be part of a team based at the Secretariat in Cape Town, and will be accountable to the Secretary General and General Manager.
The successful applicant will have a passion for the African creative sector, excellent fundraising experience and technical skills, the aptitude to train and mentor others, the ability to think out the box, the capacity to work long hours and to travel extensively, confidence as well as excellent writing and communication skills.
